A cute, solidly-built little model, but this unit developed a problem years ago.

There's no display visible in the photo because there's nothing in there - it's an empty case. As a kid I pilfered the display tubes and transformer from this unit to make a digital clock. The clock is doing just fine, it's been running almost continuously for 30 years now.
