Canada made the transition from Imperial measures to Metric in the 1970's.
All sorts of conversion aids were produced: tables, 'slide rules',
and a few specialised electronic calculators such as this model.
Novus was a consumer marketing brand of National Semiconductor.
The Novus calculators tend to suffer from poor quality displays which lose segments,
as can be seen in several digits of this unit.
